ไม่ได้เจอกันนานนะครับ จริงๆไม่ใช่ว่าไม่ได้บินหรือไม่ได้เที่ยว แต่นายอาร์คบินอยู่เส้นทางเดียว ไฟลท์เดียว คือ กรุงเทพ ภูเก็ต กับบางกอกแอร์ เป็น pattern เดิมๆทุกครั้งก็เลยไม่ได้ทำรีวิว เกรงว่าจะเบื่อกัน

 

แต่คราวนี้ได้โอกาสลองของใหม่ครับ ทำตาละห้อยอยากขึ้น 737 Sky Interior มาสักพักแล้ว ไม่มีโอกาสสักที ทริปนี้อยู่ๆก็มาโดยไม่ได้นัดหมายครับ คือตอนแรกก็กะว่าสงกรานต์จะอยู่เฝ้ากรุงเทพ เล่นน้ำให้ชุ่มฉ่ำหายร้อน เพราะไม่ได้แพลนอะไรไว้เลย ตั๋วเครื่องบิน รถทัวร์ รถไฟ ถ้าไม่เต็มก็ราคาพุ่งไปถึงไหนๆแล้ว ก็เลยไม่สนใจ

 

แต่ แต่ แต่… อยู่ๆก็มือซน ไปกดดูราคาตั๋ว SL เล่นๆในวันศุกร์เย็นๆตอนที่คนเค้าเริ่มแห่ไปที่สนามบินกันแล้ว เห็นราคาไฟลท์ที่ถูกสุดแค่สามพันกว่าๆแล้วก็เกิดอาการคัน อยู่ไม่สุข ก็เลยจัดการนัดแนะกับเพื่อน, พี่สาวเค้า, พ่อแม่เค้า ว่าจะลงไปหา ไปกินอะไรอร่อยๆกันให้อ้วนไปสามวันสามคืน

This trip report is a result of an unplanned, cheap airfare beyond expectation from a new LCC in Thailand – Lion Air. During Songkran festival, people DO travel. Thais flee Bangkok and get to their hometown, foreigner pay Bangkok a visit and head somewhere. Even ULCC like Air Asia’s price has already sky rocket to approximately 2 times I am willing to pay.

 

My original plan is to stay in Bangkok and get myself ready for the next trip, but, the casual search in Lion Air website yield incredible result, I got the ticket down to Hat Yai for just 3XXX baht, truly beyond my expectation. So I tell myself, why not? I get tp fly on a new Boeing with their signature sky interior, and chance to try out a new airlines.

 

ปล. ท่านหน้ากากและ Admin ครับ ผมหา section "Thai Lion Air" ไม่เจอครับ ไม่แน่ใจว่าหาไม่ทั่วหรือว่ายังไม่มี ถ้ายังไม่มี เรา update กันหน่อยดีไหมครับ

ไปถึงเร็วมากครับ expect ว่าต้องเจอคลื่นมหาชนแน่นนอน แต่ก็ไม่มากเท่าที่คิดครับ มีแต่เคาน์เตอร์ FD เท่านั้นที่แน่นเอี้ยด Lion คนหลวมๆครับ อาจจะเพราะ destination ไม่มากเท่า

I arrive at the airport very early, expecting a big crowd.. but Lion Air Check in counter does not have that much gathering. Probably they don’t have much operation here yet. (Well, Thai Air Asia is fully packed and line is huge)

On a side note, we are travelling from old Don Muang Airport, not Suvarnabhumi

กินข้าวรอ พอเรียบร้อยก็ได้เวลาเคาน์เตอร์เปิดพอดีครับ จัดการเช็คอิน request 32A โดยสัญญาว่าจะช่วยเปิดประตูฉุกเฉินให้ ศึกษามาแล้วเป็นอย่างดีว่าต้องทำยังไง กราวนด์เอเจนท์ก็หัวเราะคิก แล้วก็ให้มาแต่โดยดี

When counter open, I got into internet check in line (which I already did) and was served in a few minutes. I request a seat with extra legroom – 32A and was given without any problem.

ไม่มีอะไรทำสักเท่าไหร่ สตาร์บัคส์ก็คนแน่นเอี้ยด (สงสัยว่าเค้าจะหาที่ที่ใหญ่กว่านี้สักหน่อยไม่ได้หรือไง) ก็เลยเดินไปมา เจอ Intrigue Lounge ที่ว่าง ค่าเข้าแค่ 140 แถมอาหารบุฟเฟต์ให้กินหน่อยนึง ก็เลยเข้าไปนั่งเล่นๆครับ

Not so much thing to do in this DMK airport, especially the domestic side. We got some food outlet, duty free shop and that’s pretty all. I see the paid lounge call “Intrigue Lounge” offering huge discount to just 140 Baht, which is just the same as a cup of Starbucks. The lounge offer comfortable seating, buffet lunch and drink. Well, why not? I got time to kill.

อาหารก็ราวๆนี้ครับ

แซนด์วิชโอเค ผลไม้อร่อย แต่อาหารร้อนมันไม่ร้อนครับ แถมรสชาติที่ทำเผื่อฝรั่งกินได้ ก็เลยไม่ค่อยอร่อยเท่าไหร่ แต่คุ้มมากครับ (เห็นหมอยุ่งเล่าว่ามีน้ำสมุนไพรให้ด้วย แต่วันนั้นหมด เลยอดกิน)

 

The food choices are a mix experience. Sandwiches, Soup, Appetizer and fruits are fine, but not the “hot” dish (which is not hot at all). Anyway, it’s a nice place to hang around.

I leave the lounge at the boarding time. And here we go.

ป่ะ ลงไปได้แล้วครับ คิดถึงเกทพวกนี้สมัยยัง serve international  จริงๆ เมื่อก่อนมีแต่เครื่องใหญ่ๆอยู่แถวนี้เต็มไปหมด

แต่เห็น seat pitch แล้วก็อึ้งนิดๆ แคบและอัดสุดๆจริงๆครับ 1-2 ชั่วโมงยังพอไหว แต่ถ้าหากมากกว่านั้นคงไม่ไหวแน่นอน

However, the seat pitch is ugly. I could not imagine travelling more than a few hours on this aircraft.

แต่ที่ของเรา สบายครับ เลือกตรงนี้มาอย่างดี คือมันเป็นที่กว้างสุด ติดหน้าต่าง เอนได้ และไม่มีแอร์มานั่งอยู่ข้างหน้าตอนเครืองขึ้นลง (ที่จะเป็นเวลาที่ถ่ายรูปสนุกที่สุด)

I made a right choice of requesting this seat. It is among the best in the aircraft
