ทริปนี้ไปเกาะเต่ากันครับ จากคราวที่แล้วที่ผมไปเรียนดำน้ำที่ Bans Diving Resort มาหนึ่งคอร์สแล้ว คราวนี้ก็ได้เวลาไปเรียนคอร์ส Advance ต่อให้จบครับ จองตั๋ว PG ไว้ล่วงหน้าหลายเดือนอยู่เหมือนกัน

From the review several months earlier, I went to Koh Tao for my first in my life Scuba Diving course and obtain open water license. From the very first minute I glide down to 15 meters, I know I gonna have more and more dive soon enough.

Then, here we come, after a live aboard trip at Similan, I came back to Koh Tao again for Advance openwater license. It could be actually just a short 3 days trip as there are only 2 skill needed to complete PADI requirement ( I finished deep dive as an extra course during the OW license, and go for Nitrox/ Night Dive during live aboard trip) but we choose to stay for 5 days to enjoy the island a bit.

 

Let’s go guys. We are getting on board Bangkok Airways to Samui. Here’s the flight data.

เริ่มเลยดีกว่า ผมมาถึงสุวรรณภูมิตอนประมาณหกโมงเช้าครับ ยังมืดอยู่เลย
I arrive BKK Suvarnabhumi airport around six o’clock. Still early and still dark even during Summer in Bangkok.

แต่ก็เช็คอินได้ครับ มาถึงเช้ามากเพราะคาดว่าจะต้องต่อคิวยาวเหยียดเหมือนทริปที่ผ่านมา แต่ผิดคาดครับ ไม่ม่คิวเลย โล่งสนิท
And check in is a breeze. I expect a long queue just like there was on my last flight. But, to a pleasant surprise… no queue!

แปลกใจมากเพราะแม้แต่ Economy Class Lounge ที่คราวที่แล้วแน่นจนต้องยืนรอ คราวนี้กลับว่างสนิท

As always. Bangkok Airways passengers are entitle to lounge visit, even if they are flying economy. The lounge seemed quiet and cozy this time.

แต่เราเข้า Blue Ribbon ด้วยบริการจาก AIS Serenade ครับ
However, I am entitled to PG’s Business class (Blue Ribbon) lounge with some privilege .

มาสำรวจขนมดีกว่าครับ ที่นั่งก็เหมือนเดิมแหละ
ข้าวต้มผัดยังไม่มาครับ แต่มีสโคนของโปรด
Pretty well stock with snack. I expect local delicacy of banana in sweet stickyrice roll, but that menu has not arrived yet. Scone is served instead.

วันนี้อาหารร้อนขอเป็นข้าวต้มบะกุดเต๋ครับ กินคราวที่แล้วยังติดใจ
I request hot menu of Boiled rice I spicy soup, very nice indeed.

กินไปสักสี่ –ห้าจานแล้วก็ได้เวลาบอร์ดครับ ประตู A2 เป็นครั้งแรกที่ขึ้น PG แล้วได้ใช้งวงตอนขาไปแบบนี้ ปกติโดน Busgate ไปกลางลานตลอด
Then the boarding time. To my delight, we can use A2 gate, the one with airbridge. I have flown Bangkok Airways for numerous time and seemed like bus gate is a compulsory for such morning flight.

เห็นเครื่องปุ้บก็เซ็งครับ คุณเชียงใหม่ที่เป็นเครื่องเก่ามาจากสายการบิน Batavia Air ผมรู้สึกว่าเครืองลำนี้ที่นั่งแย่มากๆครับ นั่งไม่สบายที่สุดในบรรดาพี่น้องแอร์บัสทั้งหมดแล้ว
The aircraft, unfortunately, is not a desirable one. It is an ex-Batavia Air which I think have got the poorest seat in their fleet. Bangkok Airways seemed to be well aware of this fact, so they dispatch this aircraft exclusively for Chaing Mai and Samui, their shortest route in the network.

I hope 50 minutes is a bearable duration in this aircraft.

โชคดีที่คราวนี้ขอที่นั่งด้านหน้าหน่อย ข้างหลังที่แคบเกิ้น เห็นลายเบาะที่นั่งก็ยืนยันได้ว่าศิษย์เก่า Batavia…
The seat cover confirm my impression. Fortunately I opt for the seat upfront, which usually offer slightly more seat pitch than the one rear section.
