กลางหมู่บ้านมีวัดสวยชื่อวัดปากอูครับ บริเวณนี้เป็นบริเวณที่แม่น้ำอูมาบรรจบกับแม่น้ำโขง

ของกินขึ้นชื่อของหลวงพระบางเรียกว่าไคแผ่น หรือแปลเป็นไทยก็คือสาหรายแผ่นนั่นเอง ที่ตากเอาไว้คือสาหรายจากแม่น้ำนำมาล้างให้สะอาด คลี่ให้เป็นแผ่น ใส่กระเทียมลงไปนิดหน่อย โรยงาตากแดดไว้ พอแห้งก็นำมาทอดกิน อร่อยครับ
