สวัสดีคร้าบบ

หยุดสามวันคราวนี้นายอาร์คไปปลีกวิเวกที่เกาะกูดมาครับ ตอนแรกว่าจะไปกันโขยงใหญ่ แต่พวกเพื่อนๆเกิดอาการงอแง คนโน้นไปไม่ได้ คนนี้เลยไม่ไป ดังนั้น คนนี้เลยไม่มั่นใจว่าไปดีไหม มัวแต่-และ-หรือ-ที่-ซึ่ง-อัน-เพราะ-ฉะนั้น- ฉัน-จึง-งง ตกลงกันไม่ได้สักที นายอาร์คก็เลยขัดใจ ไม่ไปอย่าไป ไปกันเองสองคนก็ได้ ใครอยากตามมา ก็จองเพิ่มกันเองก็แล้วกัน

โทรไปจองที่ Captain Cook ล่วงหน้าประมาณเดือนนึง ปรากฏว่า เต็มสนิทเรียบร้อยแล้ว มาได้ห้องสุดท้ายที่ Peterpan ครับ ไม่มีทางเลือกว่าจะเป็นห้องใหญ่เล็กยังไง ทางเลือกมีแค่ เอา กับ ไม่เอา…. ก็เลยตัดช่องน้อยแต่พอตัว จองซะเลย คนอื่น ถ้าจะเที่ยวก็หาทางเอาเองนะคร้าบบบ

การไปที่เกาะกูดกับ Package ของรีสอร์ทต่างๆนั้น เขาจะมีทางเลือกให้ว่า จะให้มารับที่ขนส่ง หรือว่าจะขับรถมาเอง ซึ่งเราเลือกทางแรกครับ เพราะไม่รู้ว่าที่จอดรถเป็นยังไง ก็เลยเป็นที่มาของรีวิวนี้ครับ เราเลือกเดินทางกับเชิดชัยทัวร์ ซึ่งผมค่อนข้างขยาดเล็กน้อย ที่นั่งเขาไม่สบายยังไงไม่ทราบ แต่กว่าจะถึงจะปวดเมื่อยไปหมดทั้งตัว ทั้งๆที่รถก็ใหม่ และดูดีมากนะครับ คราวที่แล้วที่ไปกัน เราเลือกเรือเที่ยวเช้าสุด ก็เลยออกเดินทางจากกรุงเทพตอน 23.30 ถึงที่นั่นตอน 4.00 ทรมานมากๆ นอนไม่ได้เลย คราวนี้มีเวลาหน่อย ก็เลยเลือกเรือเที่ยว 11.00 โดยออกจากกรุงเทพ 6.00 ครับ ทรมานน้อยหน่อย ไว้วันหลังมีตังค์จะลองนั่ง PG ไปบ้าง ตอนนี้เก็บเงินเที่ยวทริปสงกรานต์ครับ

Ladies and Gentlemen,
Welcome aboard Cherd Chai Tour. The Coach company with the most coverage service in Eastern part of Thailand, and also some other major trunk route nationwide.

This time, I am going to Koh Kood with my boyfriend on the package tour of “Peterpan Resort”. Their service begin once we reach their pier, or Trat Coach terminal. (actually Bangkok Airways also serve this route on a daily basis, but my budget does not allow me that luxury in this trip )

I make a reservation for 11.00 boat trip at the resort pier, so I only have a choice between 5.30 am or 6.00 am coach. I naturally choose the latter. Cherd Chai Coach have got an online reservation system, allow me to obtain return ticket with assigned seat in advance, which some company lack…

Now, in this review, I shall show you what the medium haul coach trip in Thailand is like, in order for you to prepare yourself for the real journey. It’s not so bad or too difficult, but some preparation help eliminate the reluctance that you might face after all.

If you choose the coach trip with appropriate time for sky train service (6.00 to 24.00), you can just disembark at Eakkamai station. Eakkamai Coach terminal is just a few step away. I do appreciate the location of this terminal, even though it is the poorest and most shabby looking one in Bangkok.

Ticket can obtained here. For any coach journey in any terminal, DO your homework in advance, searching for the company that service to your destination directly, preferably not the one that will drop you on the way, look for the counter number and go straight in. Ignore the calling from other, no matter what. Especially those vulture, they love to take advantage on us.

Cherd Chai Tour is always the one I rely on. They route cover almost all Eastern destination that I need. The fleet are new, but unfortunately with the seat that are not so comfortable. Anyway, they bring your there in one piece.

Other preferable choice is “The Transport Co.,Ltd.” , which is the State enterprise, extremely well coverage and a very reliable firm indeed. I love them too, but their service time is not right in this case.

รถเราก็เข้ามาจอด host ชายพูดจาแย่มากครับ ไม่น่ามาทำงานบริการ แต่ก็นะ ถ้าเขาทำได้ดีกว่านี้ก็คงไปอยู่นครชัยแอร์แล้วล่ะ
Our coach has arrived and ready for boarding 15 minutes prior to departure. The host is rather brusque and abrupt. What can we expect for the price like this 217 bath is less than US$10.

รถใหม่มากครับ แต่ที่นั่งก็แย่ตามเคย รถสายตะวันออกนี่ลูกเมียน้อยๆสุดๆนะครับ มาตรฐานไม่ดีเลย สงสัยจะเห็นว่าเป็นสายสั้นๆ

ดูให้ผ้าห่มคู่ละผืน ให้แบ่งกันห่มหรือไงหว่า
Inside of the coach. Still very new, but the seat is not really comfy. I will never take Cherd Chai on the route longer than 5 hours, except they have a better seat (which I have never seen yet)

One blanket for each pair of seat. Is that we are expected to share it????

ใกล้ๆชลบุรีก็ตกใจ ทำไมหมอกจัดขนาดนี้เนี่ย ไม่น่าเชื่อว่าเป็นแปดโมงเช้าของหน้าร้อน
We reach Cholburi within two hour, I can’t believe that it can be this foggy at 8.00 am. As far as I know, this is already summer season, and Thailand is not a fog- prone country! What a weather…

บนรถเสิร์ฟแครกเกอร์ห่อนึง กับน้ำดื่มรูปรถทัวร์ของเค้า และน้ำอัดลมแก้วนึงครับ
And onboard service begin. A tiny pack of cream cracker, with a tiny bottle of water and a round of soda. Host will come back to note your destination so that you can be called for disembark correctly. Passenger to Koh Chang will have to be on board this coach too, but they will need to get off somewhere on the way.

เปิดหนังให้ดูเรื่องนึงครับ ภาพล้มๆ ดูไม่รู้เรื่อง เลยไม่ได้สนใจจะดู
On board entertainment which I really don’t know what movie it is. I just know that it’s a Thai movie with a lousy visual quality.

หลับๆตื่นๆไปตามเรื่อง ห้าชั่วโมงก็มาถึงครับ ปลอดภัยดี สะดวกดี แต่ไม่มีอะไรประทับใจเป็นพิเศษ เรื่องมารยาทของ Host นั่นก็ทำใจครับ ก็ต้องมีมั่งแหละ
Chatting, sleeping, chatting, sleeping. We pass 5 awful hours and finally reach Trat Coach terminal.

สองแถวรอเราอยู่ครับ รีสอร์ทเค้าจะมี connection ไว้กับคิวรถ รถเค้าจะมีรายชื่อเราในมือเลยว่าใครไปไหน ขึ้นคันไหน โอเคดี เอาไว้จะทำในรีวิวหน้านะครับ เพราะถือว่าเป็นความรับผิดชอบการเดินทางใน package tour แล้ว ตอนนี้ขอเอาเรื่องรถทัวร์ให้จบก่อน
This passenger truck is waiting for us at platform 25, ready to deliver us to the pier. I shall initiate another review for the whole package tour service, which is pretty impressive.

ขากลับนี่ผมเผื่อเวลาไว้ 2 ชั่วโมง เผื่อทานข้าวกลางวัน และเผื่อกรณีเรือช้า ซึ่งเคยเจอมาหลายๆที ตกรถกันเป็นแถวๆ แต่ที่นี่ไม่ครับ ตรงเวลาเผง เหลือเวลาให้ไปตลาดได้ด้วย ก็เดินขำๆครับ สนุกดีเหมือนกัน มีอาหารทะเลถูกๆเยอะดีครับ

Just to complete the whole journey, may I show you a little more of the return leg, after the Resort set us back to the terminal. We still have plenty of time left. (I am worried about the boat delay, which is possible by various cause. So I allow myself ample connection time and get the 13.00 coach ticket.

We arrive Trat Terminal at 11.00, 2 more hours for the wait.

ฝากของไว้ที่เคาน์เตอร์รถทัวร์ได้ครับ ขึ้นรถสองแถวไป ราคาคนละ 20 บาทครับ ห้านาทีก็ถึง ไปกินข้าวหมูแดง ข้าวมันไก่กัน ก็พอทานได้ รสชาติไม่เลวทีเดียว
So, we deposit our luggage at Cherd Chai office and catch a passenger truck to the market, which is just 5 minutes drive away. This should be fun for the foreigner, as there are a lot of local food and interesting local goods to see. But I settle for lunch. The chicken rice and BBQ pork rice. Not the best I have tried, but good enough for me to survive. There are plenty of cheap – edible food around the market.
