สวัสดีค่ะ!! ระยะนี้ดิฉันหายไปนาน เนื่องจากมีงานใหม่ ซึ่งยุ่งพอสมควร! หวังว่าทุกคนยังจำดิฉันได้นะคะ..
ดิฉันเคยไป Grand Canyon ครั้งหนึ่ง กับคุณตา คุณยาย ซึ่งเป็น เวลานาาาาาาาาาาาาน หลายปีมาแล้ว. ขณะนั้นคุณตากับคุณยาย อยู่ในวัยใกล้ๆ 60 แต่ก็เต็มไปด้วย spirit. พวกเราขับรถจาก Dallas, Texas มุงไปยัง New Mexico ... Arizona; และพักอยู่ใน Grand Canyon 1 คืนในห้อง log cabin. ขณะที่ดิฉันคิดว่า การเดินทางของพวกเรา สิ้นสุด เพียงแค่นี้ คุณตาก็ยังคงขับรถต่อไปเรื่อยๆ หยุดแวะ Las Vegas, Los Angeles, San Diego และ Tijuana, Mexico!! และการเดินทางเที่ยวนี้ เป็นครั้งแรกที่ฉันได้ยินคุณตาพูดภาษาสเปน. และก็เป็นครั้งแรกที่ดิฉันเห็น คุณตาจูงมือคุณยาย ขณะที่พวกเขา เดินบนถนน Avenida Revolución
หลังจากที่ได้หนังสืออนุญาตจาก ’ฝาละมี’ เรียบร้อยแล้ว เราจึงวางแผน การเดินทางในเช้าวันถัดไป
แถมสามี..มีกานบอกว่า “ถ้าค้างคืน!! กลับมา เราหย่ากัน!!”
แหม…แหม…รัก bebe เพียงคนเดียวคนเท่านั้นแหละค่ะ!!
I’ve been to Grand Canyon once with my grandparents many years ago. At the time, my grandparents were in their late 50’s but full of spirit. We drove from Dallas, Texas to New Mexico…to Arizona; where we stayed in the park for 1 night in a log cabin. Just when I thought we were done with the trip, my grandfather continued to drive west. And, so we visited Las Vegas, Los Angeles, San Diego and Tijuana, Mexico!! It was my first time to hear my grandfather spoken Spanish. And, it was my first time to see my grandfather took my grandmother’s hand while they were walking along Avenida Revolución. I remembered I looked up at him and said in my broken Spanish:
“Papá? Quiero un marido tan guapo como tú..” He replied:
“AND! Smart! Don’t forget smart! But, I’m afraid you will have to kiss a lot of frogs, my child!”
And, many frogs later, I FOUND him!!
