This plane is typical of planes used for flights to provincial towns and cities in South Africa. It is also exactly like the planes used to fly from Johannesburg to Maseru in Lesotho. The photos show views of South Africa between Johannesburg and Lesotho.

1.This is Hotel Victoria in 'downtown' Maseru. Maseru is the capital of Lesotho. The      street in front of the hotel is the main street of the town.
2.The hotel room was on the 6th Floor and had a great view of buildings nearby and the hills outside Maseru.
3.This building is built in a contemporary style of Basutu architecture. Basutu is the name of the 'tribe' of people who inhabit Lesotho. The building is close to Victoria Hotel and has inside a very good Indian restaurant, a large shop containing local crafts and workshops for artisans and artists.

The building in picture no 4 above, is also near Hotel Victoria in MAseru. It has a traditional style thatch roof. The thatch is made out of local reeds and grasses. This building is an arts centre and tourist information bureau. There are different arts and crafts for sale and the people in the tourist information centre are very helpful.
1. This picture shows the general landscape around Maseru.
2. This picture shows the hill which is very improtant to Basuthu legend. The shape of the hill is recreated in many 'motifs' and 'designs' in art work and also in the traditional Basuthu hat which is made out of straw and shaped exactly like the hill.

1. THis picture is taken in a very special place on the plateau outside MAseru. It is the place where all the kings and royal family of Basuthu are buried.
2.This picture shows one of the headstones in the Basuthu's royal cemetary.

1. This picture shows my guide for the day. He is sitting next to the grave of his father who is one of the members of the royal family. The king of Lesotho is his uncle.
2. This picture shows one of the kings graves.

:)1.this picture shows a very important tree on the royal hill of Basuthu. Every year the e;ders of Basuthu come to meet under this tree to keep with tradition and make decisions about the next year
2. This picture shows flowers that are typical of the high escarpments in LEsotho. The flowers are similar to the flowers that grow in the Alps of Europe.

:)These pictures were taken at a cave in the highlands of LEsotho. In prehistoric times, people lived in these caves. The drawings are of animals like antelope that lived in the area. LEsotho is called the mountain kingdom because all of the land is over 1,500 metres above sea level. The highlands are about 3,500 metres above sea level. On the day we visited the highlands it rained all day and the river that ran throught the caves was in flood. We all got very wet.

:)1.This photo was taken in a womans' cooperative. Here they weave cloth and make clothes, scarves, carpets and other products from wool, cotton and the locally spun mohair. they sell the products for a profit. They are nice people.

ดูๆ แล้วในภาพรวม ผมว่า Lesotho เจริญทีเดียวเลยล่ะครับ (คงเพราะอยู่ติด South Africa) ไม่แน่ในล่ะครับ

คนเมื่อก่อนอยู่ในถ้ำกันหมดเลยนะครับ เป็นเหมือนบ้านที่หลบแดดหลบฝน พายุ สัตว์ร้าย ผมว่า เราย้ายไปอยู่ในถ้ำกันเถอะครับ อิอิ

ดูแห้งแล้งจัง แต่ชอบตรงที่ตึกสวยแปลกๆดี ดูแล้วท่าทางจะร้อนมากเลยนะเนี่ย
