Again, sorry to do the review in English.  No Thai fonts ka..  
Last month, my sister came to visit me from Argentina.  After a few weeks of wined and dined, we found
oursleves BORED with the night life of Las Vegas.  So, the two sisters decided to head down to a hookah lounge
for some down time.  And, after a few drinks and puffs later that was when the idea came to us.

This is our favourite 'hookah lounge'.

So, next morning just before the break of dawn (ah... to me, it means before NOON ka) we hit the road and looking for FOOD.  
If you are driving from Las Vegas to Hoover Dam, it's only a short drive - 30 miles.  Be sure to grap
something to eat before you go.  There isn't much of choices along the freeway.

My sister being born and raised in Argentina, she needed her food!!  There is a great Argentine place not far from the
China Town (great for me, eh?).  It called Rincon de Buenos Aires.  They make a very good Milanesa de Pollo.

We arrived the dam in the afternoon.  The heat was almost unbearable.  The Hoover Dam is one of the must do
things for those who came to visit Las Vegas.

As we looked back, you can see other people got the same idea as ours.

Parking was a bit difficult to find.  We had to park far away from the dam and walked down the set of these stairs.

At the dam level, one can enjoy the great view of Lake Mead, the largest man made reservoir in the US.  Unfortunately, the
water level of the lake dropped rapidly due to the drought. As of this year, the lake is currently at about 50% percent of its
capacity, threatening to make the Las Vegas valley's primary raw water intake inoperable.

Crossing the dam, half way!!  You can see how big the DAM thing is!   in comparison to the cars that you see
on the top of the dam.  You can see the observation deck (the brown shiny building) from the distance.

We took a lift down to the engine room, these are the hydroelectric generators.

A trip back in time, 1931.  These are some tools they used while constucted the dam.

After the engine room, we took a lift back up to the observation deck.

After 20 minutes at the top of observation deck, we exited back to the dam.

AND THEY MEAN IT!!!!  It's a big drop! 726.4 ft

Nevada is a desert state, but with a bit of moisture and the right conditions you can find 'life' everywhere.  This plant hangs over the
cliff and grows between the cracks of rock.

A drinking water fountain we found as we walked back to our car.  I was scared to take a sip since I don't know where the
water comes from.  Which reminds me, bring some water with you!! Especially if you plan to visit in the summer months.
We carried 1 gallon of water each and by the end of our trip, we had to buy more.

Our journey ends appropriately here at the Meridian of Autumnal Equinox.  As of this posting, it's only few days to the
