hello all
here's my recent report: (sorry no aviation pics this time so I will be as detailed as possible)
Background:
Well... to cut the story short Im giong to uk to study in the university and so i came to taiwan so i can make my student visa which is easier than doing it ASU because there is no uk embassy (sucks i know) anyways.. final decision was to go to taiwan to do it my dad had already booked his ticket a month ago and had planned to go visit my bro in nyc and so at the last minute he called the travle agency and told her that i was going too
she said ok....

the day comes and the agent hands me the ticket on the day of the flight and i checked but it stated that I had a direct flight instead of staying in JFK... my dad called her and asked.. she was like.. its cheaper like this.. and they started arguing which i won't get into detail anyways.. it was then fixed and we headed off to the airport

we also changed the 18:00 flight to the 16:00 flight because we could make a better connection without having to rush.

first leg:
August, 27, 2007
Route: ASU-CDE-GRU

flight no: PZ712 (was previously PZ706 the 18:00 flight)

We got to the airport around 15:00 and the airport was jammed with people all on tAM flights to argentina, santiago,gru,cde etc.... my dad was still arranging stuff with the travel agency so I went in line. once checked in my luggage was tagged to KHH (kaoshioung) as I did not want that I figured i'll just explain my situation in GRU as the conneting flight is 3 hours haha...
we took off which was very light and went directly to CDE this flight had no meal service but I was hungry haha.. but had to wait.. it was uneventful the F/A's did the usual emergency performance hehe.. and I was sat by the window so kept staring outside.
we landed shortly to CDE and the runway had no taxiway and the airport had no pushback truck so we landed went to the parking spot where there was an 747-300 unknown and a 707 unknown we stood there for 30 min then i was asked to change seats and went to a whole row for myself and my dad 16 because I had brought on board my computer and as ther overhead bins was hard to stoy they stowed it under the seat standing up and so they gave us a whole row then we pushed back and taxied on our own and turned around on the runway and tookoff.. then once we reached fl350 the service started with pasta, a brownie, cheese and ham salad, and crackers
We landed shortly with the breakes in full and takied for a while at gru while looking at those night flights getting ready for their flights ot the us, europe and south am.
we parked at the ramp and went on the bus I got off at the end of the a/c so i could hear and smell the oil lol.... was disgusting hahah,... but it was the nearest exit
went inside the terminal and went through security which was quick... then went to the connecting flights desk and told the lady that my intinary had changed etc... and luckly it was all good so i was good to go.. but... my seat was stuck in the middle and my dad was in the same place but behind me
anyways... we went to the gate and waited... more and more people started jamming the gate area hahah...

2nd leg
August 27 2007

We boarded and to my luckyness.. lol ... I found two old lady with a empty seat in the middle.. and I was like oh no.... hahah
we sat.. waited for pushback which caused the delay because waiting for atc clearance. anyways.. we pushed beack and the camera showed which was cool we were taxing behind a TAM A330 which I think was also going to NYC

we finally departed and I was already falling asleep as it was night flight
there was one male brazilian fa together with a lot of braziliand and japanese fa but the brazilian fas spoke really good japanese hehe
anyways... snack service started with drink and japanese crackers
then dinner started with either: chicken or beef... I choose chicken but was incredibly dry and plus i needed water so i didn;'t eat much but there was sushi and salad witha a chocolate cake so i ate all that then i fell asleep lmao... they came to clean up dinner and also gave everyone a bottle of water so we can keep ourselves hydrated i went to the bathroom to freshen myself first then i head off to sleep didn't bother with IFE lol... was MAGIC II
I would sleep and wake up sleep and wake up.. over and over.. bith oldies kept snoring like mad competing with each other.. at last I couldn't sleep anymore.. went to the restroom looked outside the window through the emergency exit door and it was mornign already.. so I was like yes.. breakfast is starting haha.. I was hungry. Breakfast consisted of Jam and cheese sandwich (crossaint). After that went to brush my teeth etc.. and we landed its a cool view through the front camera you get to see everything.. I think we landed over 3L? I can't remember
immigration was fast since we arrived late and all the other flights had gone or getting there haha we then found a taxi and took us to the hotel...
me and my dad slept till the afternoon and went shopping.. for more details on what I did in NYc just tell me i'll edit and write it up haha

3rd leg:
August 31st 2007

I got to the airport around 7 and the check in area was very empty and check in was quick went into the first class line since there was no one haha.. and went through security.. again was quick went to gate area to wait.. nice decent amount of people haha.. got into the plane, sat by a brazilian student going to japan to study and a chinese going to connect in nrt flight was uneventful me wanting to fight my jetlag slept when it was nght time in asia.. so practically on the whole flight hahah.. so nothing interesting to talk about.. meal was good though it was italian chicken was yummy lol
arrived in the mid day the airport was quite empty and not busy at all we taxied for a while and parked.. got off.. went to a free internet area and got online to check email and stuff nice view at terminal 2
we had to wait for five hours.. then went to duty free shopping bought stuff family aksed and waited for 5 hours...

4th and last leg:
september 1st 2007
Route: NRT-KHH

DEP: 18:15 delayed 50 min due to late arr from previous city
ARR: 22:15 or so...

tired flight... jet lagged so slept one thing I noticed though... the FA's wear differently from the ones on Jal a bit of a turbulence causing the meal service to stop for a while..
landed into the hot humid KHH taiwan

thats the end folks... seeya on my next trip!
